Facilities
The clinic is situated in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, in Olinda and it was purpose-built for occupational therapy. There is ample car parking and a fantastic deli, gift shop, and bakery across the road.
In the clinic, there is a comfortable waiting room complete with giant rocket, dolls house, pirate ship, books and interesting wooden and metal puzzles to challenge all ages. There is a diverse range of suspended swings which are used in the sessions as body warm ups, movement breaks and even rewards. There is also plenty of playground equipment (eg. Musical hopscotch, air soccer, scooterboard), novel toys and games, up to date assessments, and different technology solutions such as the Wii (great for rewards), iPad and laptop computer. In front of the clinic is a tyre swing for kids to burn off extra energy either before or after the therapy session. There, they might even spot our resident kookaburra who likes to sit on the clothesline between the clinic and adjacent vet surgery. Speaking of which, if you have a pet, you can also drop in to the vet surgery. We are directly behind it.
